Hi First Graders!
My name is Avery Explorer and I like to travel around the world to learn about how people live in different places. I heard that you were learning about Mexico and I heard that many of your classmates were actually born in Mexico. How cool is that! As you already know, Mexico is south of the United States. Here are some pictures I took when I visited Mexico. It’s a beautiful country!
There are many beaches in Mexico.
There are mountains are in Mexico.
There are rainforests in southern Mexico.
Now I have some questions for you. You can answer them in the comment section. Good luck on your research!
What bodies of water are on the east and west coasts of Mexico?
What is the name of the mountains in Mexico?
I can’t wait to hear what you find out!
Love,
Avery

Dear Avery,
The body of water on the west coast is the Pacific Ocean. The body of water on the east coast is called the Gulf of Mexico.
We found out that there are 3 mountains in Mexico. They are the Sierra Madre Oriental, Sierra Madre Occidental, and Neovolcanic Cordillera.
Thank you for writing to us.
Love,
Mrs. Johnson’s class
